On Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00-11:30 am, meet famed runner, writer, and coach Jeff Galloway at ABQ Running Shop. Jeff was a professional runner and went to the 1972 Olympics for the 10k. Later, he ran a marathon in 2:16:35. He has now written dozens of books on running, and is the founder of one of that largest training groups in the country. Jeff will be on hand to talk about running and answer any questions you may have. His books will be on sale and he will be autographing them as well. Bagels and drinks will be provided. Do you know some random running trivia or want to learn more running facts? Join us on Facebook, where we will be posting a question every Tuesday. Trivia Tuesday will happen at random times throughout the day, so check often! The first person to respond and answer the question will get some kind of schwag. It could be a book, shirt, or something completely random. Questions will range from something incredibly easy to others that Google won't even answer. Only rules are that you can only win one prize each month and the first person to respond on Facebook wins the prize. Congratulations to Steve G. for winning this week's question- he got a Galloway Training log for being the first to answer! Every Wednesday, join us for a weekly workout. We'll leave the shop right after closing at around 6:10 pm. Workout will include speed work at the track, hills, tempo runs, fartleks, and more.
