It is with a very heavy heart that we report that our co-worker and our friend Kalgin Koch passed away during a race in Anchorage this summer. Only 22 years old, Kal was an extremely enthusiastic individual who made friends instantly. His love of running and ultimate frisbee was contagious. We will truly miss him. 
There are lots of new shoes to report: Adidas has introduced the Supernova Riot 2. Brooks brought out the Trance 9 and the new Ravenna. New Balance's updates are the 758, the 850, the 875 trail shoe and the 1225. Nike's Lunarglide is in stock as well as the Pegasus 26 Trail, the Air Max Moto 7 and the new Streak XC racing flat. Saucony has released the ProGrid Hurricane 11. Cross Country racing flats are in stock, ready for competition! Hawaiian Island Creations, our amazing sunblock line, is offering a free 1.25 ounce tube of sunblock with a purchase of their 4 oz. While supplies last. The new and improved Sportband by Nike is also available. More accurate and easier to read, this updated version will help track pace, distance and calories burned. We are looking for an energetic person to fill a part time position. A love of running or walking is desired as well as enthusiasm for helping clientele find solutions to training needs. Taking place on Labor Day, the scenic course and post-race festivities truly embrace the spirit of Tucson. Offering a challenging and hilly 8 mile run or a walker friendly 2 mile. The 5K course is a shortened version of the University of Arizona course consisting mostly of grass with some short but challenging hills. October's offerings include Get Moving Tucson on October 11, with a 10-miler or 3.1 mile run/walk through historic Downtown Tucson.
